Vermin has arrived!!!! Thank you Fred, I will see it gets put to good use.(WEG) Virmin arrived at my work today(had to have it mailed to a safe place due to a certain s/o's threats). There I was hard at work trying to straighten out a twisted Nissan p/u, I hear the door to the shop open and what do I see? There stands the mailman holding a box with "Vermont Country Store" plastered on the side of it. I go over to where the mailman set the package down, and everyone in the shop stopped what they were doing so they could see what had gotten my attention so quickly (being the nosy bunch they are...5 of them all together). "Whats in the box?" asks one of the guys "oh its just something I ordered for the wife for Christmas and got messed up" I reply.(little white lie) "Well what is it?" asked another guy. "It's a bath brush that she really wanted." I say. "So lets see it" spouts Norm.(my boss) So not seeing any harm in showing the guys I proceed to open the box. The invoice was sitting right on top. I pull out the invoice and start checking it out, and Cory picked the brush up that was right underneath the invoice. I didnt see any harm in them checking it out until I got halfway down the invoice and there was a reminder to attach a note to the brush itself. Which read. "To Cody From Fred For those days when Moe's backside needs attention." At the same moment the guys find the note attached to the brush, and start asking me what its about. Having lied to them in the first place about it being a bungled Christmas present blew my chances for using the practical joke excuse right out of the water. Having lied and being caught so quickly I think I must have turned a few shades of red, but not nearly as many as Moe when i relayed the story to her. Sooooooo........I told them "Think whatever your gonna think but I've got nothing to tell ya." They must have taken me seriously, because nobody asked another thing about it. Just got some funny looks for the rest of the day. Nobody said another word about it. I don't think I'll be getting many visits at work by Moe for awhile. | ||
